Sims 4 Updates are Getting out of Hand!

Would you believe the Sims has been updated a million times in the last 6 months? Not really, but dang near! lol Every time you finally get it playable, there is a new update that completely breaks the game. You then have to take everything out of your Mods folder and test it one by one if you don’t have another program to help you. Thankfully, I have programs that I use to keep my stress level down after updates. If you want to learn about my favorite one Plum Buddy, I have a post all about it!

The most recent big update has added the marketplace, which I understand from a business standpoint. But, at the end of the day, considering the price we have to pay for the packs, I WILL not be buying CC (custom content) through there! I really feel that it is one of the many ways they are trying to shut down all of the small CC and Mod creators who make the game playable in the first place. If they prevent us from fully customizing the game, then there is no real point in playing it. And that is unfortunate.

It has gotten to the point that many of its loyal users have taken breaks, gone to other versions, or just given up the game altogether. I don’t blame them because I am at a point where I am thinking of going back to Sims 3. We as a community should not feel like this.

There are so many “Sim” like games that it’s not really that hard to move on. I believe the reason many of us stick around is because of the time we have invested. I have been playing The Sims since 2000! That was literally 26 years ago. Mind you, I’m only in my early 30s, so I have literally grown with this game. I would love to continue to play it; hopefully, they will get it together in the near future.

What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!!!
