My Favorite Sims 4 Cheat Codes (and Why I use Them)
Let’s get one thing straight.
I’m not here to struggle.
In The Sims, I’m rich, well-rested, and living in a mid-century modern dream home.
Cheat codes? Oh, best believe I’m putting them all in.
Here are my favorite Sims 4 cheats, what they do, and the slightly toxic ways I use them:
1. motherlode
Adds §50,000 simoleons instantly.
Why I use it:
Because my Sim has endured enough. Between her situationship with Don Lothario and her toddler throwing tantrums, she deserves luxury.
Let her live.
2. testingcheats true
Turns on all the magic.
What you can do with it:
- Shift + click Sims/objects to cheat needs, moods, or teleport.
- Drag motives like you’re editing reality. Because you are.
Why I use it:
Because my Sim isn’t going to pee herself at her wedding. I have standards.
3. bb.moveobjects
Lets you place stuff anywhere, even if the game says no.
Why I use it:
Because I’m not letting gridlines stop me from putting a candle perfectly off-center for aesthetic purposes.
Floating chair? Let it float.
4. bb.enablefreebuild
Build on lots that usually say “Nope.”
Why I use it:
Because I’m not going to work in an ugly rabbit-hole hospital. I’m bulldozing that mess and building a wellness center with yoga mats, calming lavender walls, and good lighting.
Mental health, but make it ✨aesthetic✨.
Bonus Chaos: Shift + Click Sim → “Modify Career”
Instantly change jobs or give them a promotion. No resume, no interviews, no drama.
Why I use it:
Because sometimes I make my Sim quit their job on a whim, then regret it immediately.
Boom now she’s a level 10 World Renown Surgeon and never went to school.
🧠 Final Thought:
Cheating in The Sims is a love language.
It’s not about “playing fair.”
It’s about giving your pixel family the life you deserve.
